More than 2,700 evangelical leaders have signed onto a statement called “A Christian Statement on Science for Pandemic Times,” warning against the politicization of the coronavirus and urging Christians to take the vaccine when it is available.
The statement was published online by the nonprofit organization called BioLogos, founded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, who is a devout Christian geneticist, and his wife, to foster discussions about the harmony between science and biblical faith.
The statement along with the names of the Christian leaders that have signed the statement and thousands of others is located at https://statement.biologos.org
At the end of the statement, it goes on to say that because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we will wear masks, get vaccinated, correct information, work for justice, and pray. As a follower of Christ, I can tell you that I must have missed the red text in the Bible from Jesus that commands that I wear a mask and get vaccinated.
I’m just wondering why these thousands of supposed Christian leaders are stepping forward to tell Christians to take a vaccine that may or may not be safe. After all, we know there hasn’t been lengthy testing. This has nothing to do with my personal belief about the matter and everything to do with why these leaders are taking such a risk.
Plus we’ve all been told many things about the coronavirus by doctors and scientists that seem to change on a regular basis including wearing and not wearing a mask. So why would faith leaders tell Christians to believe scientists about a vaccine that isn’t even available?
More importantly, are these same 2,700+ evangelical leaders standing against the Democrat party that promotes abortion? After all, science has proven that babies are alive when they are being violently ripped from a mother’s womb.
While I haven’t seen anywhere in the Bible that Jesus tells me to wear a mask or take a vaccine, I can tell you that the Bible is clear about life, murder, and children. That Christianity 101.
So, my question is…
Where can I find the list of thousands of evangelical leaders that are standing up for unborn babies and the pro-life movement, and standing firmly against the pro-abortion Democrat platform?
Please someone share this list with me…
