In an amazingly authoritarian move, the Biden Administration plans to use the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to force nearly all U.S. workers to be vaccinated. The new emergency temporary standard  from OSHA lays out a whole scope of COVID-19 regulations to be forced upon employers with over 100 workers.
This temporary standard will be enforced by fining employers $14,000 per violation and up to $140,000 per willful violation. If this sounds shocking, brace yourself, Big Brother is just getting started.
The Build Back Better Plan is much more than just an infrastructure bill, on page 168 of this 2,465 page mega bill , democrats snuck in a dramatic increase in the OSHA fines.
If the bill is passed, employers will pay $70,000 for serious violations and $700,000 for willful or repeated violations of labor laws that deal with hazards, death, or serious physical harm to their employees. Biden is sending the message: comply or we will bankrupt your business.
In another Orwellian turn, the Biden Administration is using doublespeak  to claim that this is not actually a vaccine mandate. Here is Labor Secretary Marty Walsh explaining:
“This isn’t a mandate — this is a vaccine or testing,” Labor Sec. Walsh says on new OSHA standard for vaccine or testing requirements. “It is about keeping people safe, including folks that don’t want to get vaccinated, to make sure that they’re safe.” pic.twitter.com/aiQYQ6YuNe

Secretary Walsh claims that this is not a mandate as employees can alternatively be regularly tested instead of taking the vaccine, however, this is a false choice. Those that don’t take the vaccine will become a social pariah among their coworkers.
The unvaccinated will be forced to submit to weekly testing and wear a face covering  at all times when at work. If you think muzzling individuals and making them the black sheep among their peers doesn’t amount to a mandate, you’ve been thoroughly hypnotized by an authoritarian regime.
In the face of tyranny, there are brave establishments refusing to abide by the new OSHA emergency temporary standard. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Asbury Theological Seminary have filed separate lawsuits with the aid of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
ADF Senior Counsel Ryan Bangert stated:
“The government has no authority to unilaterally treat unvaccinated employees like workplace hazards or to compel employers to become vaccine commissars, and we are asking the 6th Circuit to put a stop to it immediately.”
One can only hope that American businesses across the country stand up to the measures of an authoritarian regime to salvage what remains of the land of liberty.
