After protests from the woke mob over Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, Disney CEO Bob Chapek vowed he would work to have the bill repealed and directed his company to produce children’s content with increased LGBTQIA+ themes. In response, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis threatens to revoke Disney’s “self-governing” status. 

In a press conference, DeSantis fired shots at Disney’s woke Californian corporate executives that are trying to control the state of Florida: 

“We signed the Parental Rights in Education Bill… for Disney to come out and say ‘The bill should never have passed and that they are going to ‘actively work to repeal it’… I think that crossed the line. This state is governed by the interests of the people of the state of Florida. It is not based on the demands of California corporate executives. They do not run this state. They do not control this state.”

In the same press conference, DeSantis pointed out the blatant hypocrisies shown by Disney as they condemn Floridians for protecting parental rights while gladly doing business with genocidal China: 

“For them to say they will remove substantive protections for parents, as a company that is supposedly marketing its services to parents with young children, they crossed a line…If we had put in the bill that you were not allowed to have a curriculum that discussed the oppression of the Uyghurs in China, Disney would’ve endorsed that in a second.”

DeSantis is one of the few Republican politicians to take a strong stance against the woke left and corporate interests destroying traditional American values. However, DeSantis is doing more than just making strong statements against Disney; he plans to revoke their special privileges in the state of Florida. 

In coordination with Disney, Florida created the Reedy Creek Improvement District in 1967. This semi-private, independent governing entity is still controlled by Disney to this day and allows the company to approve its own extensive and elaborate theme park rides and attractions. 

With control over the Reedy Creek Improvement District, Disney has also been able to levy their own taxes to build public services and maintain roadways and bridges on and around their property with taxpayer money. 

If you have experience with construction, you know how big of an advantage Disney possesses with control over Reedy Creek Improvement District. Waiting for permits from state governments is an extremely exhausting and lengthy process. Since Disney gets to serve as its own governing body for construction projects, they have an extreme lead over all competitors. 

DeSantis has already spoken to other GOP state officials to work on removing Disney’s special status within the state. On Wednesday, Republican state representative Spencer Roach stated the following: 

“Yesterday was the 2nd meeting in a week [with] fellow legislators to discuss a repeal of the 1967 Reedy Creek Improvement Act, which allows Disney to act as its own government. If Disney wants to embrace woke ideology, it seems fitting that they should be regulated by Orange County.”

It’s high time that Disney has all of its privileges within the state of Florida revoked. Any company that wishes to indoctrinate children in the lies of the LGBTQIA+ community should not be benefiting from a Republican-run state government. 

Radical liberal activist, Disney heiress Abigail Disney recently claimed that the majority of Americans don’t support Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill.  Clearly, she is out of touch and unable to fully understand that the American people do support Governor DeSantis’ measures to protect children from the predators that she and others demented leftists promote.
