Following the leak of the Supreme Court decision that would overturn Roe v. Wade, radical leftists are advancing their baby killing agenda through political violence. In addition to the justice Kavanaugh assassination attempt, 17 pregnancy support clinics have been firebombed, as well as attacks on pro-life figures.  

On June 13th, Andrew Barkis, a representative in the Washington state legislature, had his office firebombed by two masked individuals. A video from Barkis’ Ring security camera shows the two men breaking a window at 4 a.m. and throwing a firebomb into the office before running away. Luckily, the lit flare landed onto a masonry floor and the fire did not spread.  

While the attackers’ motives have not been confirmed, many believe Barkis was targeted for his outspoken pro-life views and ardent support for repealing Roe v. Wade. JT Wilcox, the House minority leader for Washington state, claims the attack on Barkis was clearly for his pro-life views. Wilcox tweeted the following: 

 “An attack like this changes you forever. It happened on Andrew’s birthday. On the same day unhinged partisans publish a list including Andrew as an extremist, something we all know is BS. The graphic included a lit fuse. Sick.” 

 Even more concerning are the attacks on pregnancy centers. CompassCare, a pregnancy center in Buffalo, New York, had its office firebombed and vandalized last week. Those that firebombed CompassCare also vandalized one side of the building with the slogan “Jane Was Here.” “Jane Was Here” is a known calling card for the violent activist group Jane’s Revenge.  

Jim Harden, CEO of CompassCare, likened the attack to a “pro-abortion Kristallnacht.” 

 Kristallnacht, also referred to as the Night of Broken Glass, took place in 1938 when violent mobs associated with the Nazi party destroyed hundreds of Jewish synagogues, businesses, homes, and schools. This historic tragedy shares some similarities with the ongoing attacks on a multitude of pro-life groups.  

 One similarity between Kristallnacht and the recent attacks on pro-life groups is how the politicians in power facilitated violent activism.  

 The Nazi party refused to protect the Jewish community and characterized the Kristallnacht riots as a justified reaction. Similarly, New York Governor Kathy Hochul has designated funds to protect abortion clinics, but has refused to distribute funds to secure pro-life pregnancy centers. Even worse, Democrat politicians have justified these increasingly violent attacks. New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer stated he has “no problems with protests outside of homes of Supreme Court justices,” believing such protests are justified behavior. Schumer also stated: 

“I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” 

It is hard to view the recent 17 attacks on pro-life groups as isolated from the insightful rhetoric put forth by Democratic leadership. While only two of these attacks were discussed in the article, they all share a similar pattern: firebombing and vandalism. Such attacks show the moral degeneracy of radical leftists who are quick to resort to violence when they cannot further their baby-killing agenda via traditional means.
