New information on the FBI’s unprecedented raid of Mar-a-Lago has come to light after Eric Trump conducted an interview with DailyMail.  His account of the raid shows that this was a political hit job orchestrated by the Democrats and the FBI to prevent Trump from running again in 2024.  

Despite no longer being in office, Donald Trump is a key target of corrupt, deep state FBI officials. Former presidents are traditionally respected by the FBI, which is under the control of the new administration. But this norm is now broken. Even mainstream news outlets, such as Politico, have characterized the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago as “the most aggressive law enforcement action ever taken against a former American president.” 

Eric Trump claims that 30 FBI agents arrived at Mar-a-Lago and demanded that the staff turn off all security cameras. From such a presumptuous request, we can infer that the FBI did not want to be monitored while illegally searching Trump’s home, possibly in order to manufacture evidence. However, Trump’s loyal employees refused to turn off the security cameras.  

Even more suspicious, the FBI refused to show anyone at Mar-a-Lago their search warrant and kicked Trump’s attorney off the property. Eric Trump described the FBI’s highly suspicious activities in the following way:  

“There’s 30 agents there. They told our lawyer… you have to leave the property right now. Turn off all security cameras. They would not giver her [Trump’s lawyer] the search warrant. So, they showed it to her from about 10 feet away. They would not give her a copy of the search warrant.” 

Eric Trump believes that the FBI did not have a valid search warrant, hence why they refused to allow an attorney to read it. He also believes that the FBI did not conduct this operation independently. Rather, he asserts that the FBI acted under the direction of the Biden administration:  

“Do you think that the FBI director is going to raid the former president’s house, especially a house as you know, kind of world renowned as Mar-a-Lago is in a place as public as Mar-a-Lago is without getting the approval of President Biden?” 

The FBI supposedly raided Mar-a-Lago with the intention of uncovering classified documents. In 2021, the National Archives and Records Administration recovered 15 boxes from Trump’s home in West Palm Beach that had some classified documents. Due to this, the FBI claimed they had enough reasonable suspicion that Trump was in possession of additional classified documents to warrant a raid.  

Democratic politicians and political pundits argue that the raid on Mar-a-Lago was a victory for justice, but it was the exact opposite. There was no need for such a raid as Trump in recent months had been in consistent communication and cooperation with officials at the National Archives and Records Administration. Trump never attempted to withhold any classified information, and was reportedly “dumbfounded” by the 30 FBI agents invading his home.  

This FBI raid violated Trump’s property rights and his right to privacy. What is disturbing about this raid is its implications for all Americans. If the FBI can feel so emboldened that they target a former president, imagine how they will treat average Americans they suspect of being against their agenda. 

Even if Trump was knowingly in possession of classified documents, it would not warrant a raid on his home. Just by examining recent American history, political officials in possession of classified documents have never been targeted by the FBI the way Trump just was. Hillary Clinton had her own unsecured private email server filled with classified information. FBI officials admitted that her email server very well could have been hacked and was a national security threat. Yet, the FBI never raided any of Hillary Clintons homes.  

Donald Trump took to Truth Social, writing a message to his followers that highlighted the double standard in FBI investigations against politicians:  

“Why did they STRONGLY insist on having nobody watching them, everybody out? Obama and Clinton were never ‘raided,’ despite big disputes!” 

The FBI and Democratic politicians overplayed their hand in raiding Trump’s home. This raid did not result in a political victory for them. Rather, it fired up Trump’s base and showed Republicans that the FBI is clearly the henchman of the Democratic party.
