The Florida state House passed a ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy today and now the measure is headed to Governor Ron DeSantis’s desk.
The Senate approved the measure earlier in April in a 26-13 margin. The legislation includes exceptions of up to 15 weeks for instances of rape, incest, and human trafficking.
DeSantis supports the “Heartbeat Protection Act” so it’s likely to become law.
