The Florida Department of Highway Safety shows 10,824 New Yorkers traded in their New York driver’s licenses for new ones in the Sunshine State in the first quarter of 2023.
The three main reasons for the mass exodus are crime, taxes, and rising housing costs, which are all a result of far left, Democrat leadership (or lack of leadership).
Governor Ron DeSantis has created a safe place for all blue state refugees, but he just asks that they leave their liberal ideology behind when they enter the overwhelmingly red state of Florida.
“We do not surrender to the woke mob,” DeSantis said in a recent trip to Staten Island [1] to meet members of law enforcement. “Our state is where woke goes to die!”
Palm Beach County saw the highest number of New York license exchanges in the first quarter of the year with 2,012, according to data [2]. Followed by Miami-Dade and Broward County with 2,667 license switches.
