Over 5,000 Evangelical Christians showed up at the first Evangelicals for Trump Coalition event in Miami, Florida last week, and we had the honor to be a part of this powerful gathering.
Prior to his speech, Christian leaders from across America surrounded President Trump and prayed for him, his administration, and our country. While these prayers were ridiculed and minimized by some mainstream media, the crowd was deeply moved by the sacred words lifted up to God.
Trump was unwavering as he stated “Together, we are not only defending our constitutional rights. We are are also defending religion itself, which is under siege.”
He went on to say that we could not allow one of our “radical left friends” to come in or everything that his administration has done will be gone.
This is a real concern of every Christian in the United States as we see Conservative values being diminished by Democrats currently in office and those vying for the presidential nomination.
Every man and woman of faith cheered as President Trump made these powerful declarations…
“A society without religion cannot prosper. A nation without faith cannot endure, because justice, goodness, and peace cannot prevail without the glory of Almighty God.”
“For America to thrive in the 21st century, we must renew faith and family as the center of American life.”
“Our faith is needed now more than ever. While certain fads come and go, it’s an eternal truth that faith and family lead to the stability, happiness, and prosperity of nations.”
President Trump remarked that Democrats are trying to impose their anti-religious and socialist agendas on the American people. We see this during every Democratic debate. Christians must take a stand now instead of silently watching as our religious freedoms are ripped away.
In the past, church leaders were threatened with losing their tax-exempt status for openly advocating their political views. President Trump is fighting against the Johnson Amendment that can punish religious leaders for speaking out politically.
This is just one of many ways that Trump is standing up for people of faith and stopping their voices from being silenced and their rights trampled.
This Evangelicals for Trump event definitely pumped up the Christian base, but it’s our responsibility to keep the momentum going and support President Trump as he fights for our right to worship freely and stand firm on our Conservative beliefs.
